About

Sertoma is one of the oldest service clubs in the United States. We are committed to the communities we serve in the Broome County Region. We seek to transform lives and, in doing so, we also transform ourselves. We are men and women who understand that we can accomplish more together than we can alone. We know we can make a difference with our national mission of hearing health and locally with Camp Sertoma. We are people who have heard the call to help. We answer that call every day!! We are Sertomans.

History

Chartered in 1928, the Binghamton Sertoma Club is one of the oldest and strongest civic organizations in the greater Binghamton Area. Our membership is a cross section of like-minded community leaders from a diversity of fields and sectors.

Sertoma” is an acronym standing for “SERvice TO Mankind” and expressing the unifying purpose to serve our community. Central to our Mission is a deep commitment to supporting youth, individuals with communication needs and promoting education for people pursuing careers in communication disorders. The Binghamton Sertoma Club has a long history of community service and civic responsibility, and its members share a deep belief in their obligation and ability to make a positive difference in their community’s health.
